Laundry baskets. Often overlooked but used daily. I’ve been scouring the web for a new one for Daphne’s room, after we pinched her Ferm Living one for our own room.
Now I complained on Twitter about spending £50 on a laundry basket a while ago, but someone rightly pointed out that if it lasts a lifetime then it’s really quite good value for money. Or a worthwhile investment. Either way, worth spending a bit more to get something you actually like looking at.
As I’ve been researching, I’ve realised that the designs that caught my eye were all monochrome. Something simple and Scandi about these designs that just works.
Here are three of the best…
Wildfire Teepee Toy Storage bag, £55, The Modern Nursery
Yes, OK, technically this is designed for toys, but who says it can’t be used for washing too? Also comes with different coloured handles – but I’m partial to this sunny yellow.
For those after something a little more tactile, this felt beauty is just the thing.
Felt Basket, £25, Nordic House
Striped laundry basket, £13.95, The Little Baby Company
You just can’t go wrong with stripes. Simple, timeless and effortlessly stylish.
